What If?

Scared of one's own thoughts one hardly dreams. What if one were wrong or worse what if one were right? The brilliance of reality is that it puts a question mark on its own existance. What if what you bank up on exists only in the realms of your own imagination?

I marvel at the power of the mind, that which creates a world of its own, a world we believe in, a world which might actually be far from the truth.

Sometimes I wonder, if life was a tiny naughty elf, merry and youthful, playing pranks on us, dashing behind lush bushes, giggling away. And us the fools, taking all of it so seriously. What if all this is yet another meaningless joke? All your joy and your pain, a fleeting whim of a harmless fictional character?

What if bonds were fragile, affections passing fancies, relationships flimsy, friendships a convenient mechanism of symbiosis? People say time heals, you get over, forget people and places, you move on. Why do then people claim bonds lasting eternity and believe in them? These claims of unbreakable affections, these promises of keeping in touch, will they last? Let us see!
